About the Artist
I have been making art for as long as I can remember. I love drawing, ceramics, sculpture, silkscreen, and fiber arts. After graduating Hampshire College, I realized that art could no longer be a side pursuit for me, but needed to take center stage. During my time at the School of the Museum of Fine Arts I focused on drawing and figure sculpture, and graduated with a concentration in ceramics.  I make both functional and sculptural pieces, working from my studio in Providence.
About the Art
I love the idea of making pieces that capture the exuberance of childhood, and that can commemorate any specific moment in a child’s life. The traditional canvas portrait can be staid and stuffy; my portrait plates are special, they are lighthearted and precious at the same time.
