I make every effort to process orders as quickly as possible. Work begins on personalized products once I receive appropriate photographs via e-mail. Personalized plates typically ship in 2-3 weeks. Rush orders are available for an additional fee.
Ordering
To order, contact me and I will be happy to talk you through the decision making process. As each piece is custom designed, there are many possibilities. I will help you select a size (10 or 12 inch), appropriate color from the color chart, and a style (classic silhouette, inverted silhouette, hand drawn portrait, pet, or house). We will decide together about personalization or an inscription.
As children are often too squirmy to sit still for a drawing, I am able work from photographs. A true profile is necessary for a silhouette. A couple of full face photographs are necessary for a drawn portrait.
The plates are all hand-painted and hand-drawn. No decals are used. The glazes I use are all non-toxic, lead free, and food safe. Because of the nature of ceramics and the glaze firing process, some variations should be expected.
These plates are designed as art for display, but you may certainly use them to eat from if you prefer. The plates are dishwasher safe, though the wear and tear of the dishwasher can deteriorate the finish over time, so I recommend hand-washing.
